What gives you butterflies? What makes you feel the thrill of excitement and fear all balled up in to one emotion?! These winter days of planning and dreaming have me wondering about what I’m called to, and how these butterfly feelings come in to play and help drive my ambitions.

The snowstorm is upon us and this dream land has us buzzing with anticipation for everything that is yet to come. Planning for flowers while snow falls all around is a first for these flower farmers! The change of the seasons is one of those never ending metaphors that fits just into your spirit as needed.

This week we discuss how we honed in on what the business model should be for our flower farm. With so many different approaches to this type of business, we had our work cut out for us when making these decisions. Are we going to be a “you-pick” farm? Are we going to specialize in events, such as weddings? Can customers purchase flowers anytime? Custom arrangements?!
